Inclusive economic development initiative that focuses on mainstreaming disability inclusion in technical vocational training institutions and labour market in Rwanda, specifically in Kigali City, Rulindo, Musanze and Rubavu Districts.
Through this initiative we have already supported 539 youth with disabilities since 2014. EmployAble Rwanda has the comprehensive network of employers accounting around 75 small and medium scale company owners who provided internship to and/or employed youth with disabilities.
Next to employers our private sector partner is SACCO micro-finance institution located in different districts where we work: Rulindo, Musanze and Rubavu and Kigali City. In Rwanda we collaborate with our local disability-mainstreaming partner – the Umbrella for People with Disabilities in the Fight against HIV/AIDS (UPHLS) and the National Union of Disability Organizations in Rwanda (NUDOR).
