Inclusive economic development initiative that focuses on mainstreaming disability inclusion in technical vocational training institutions and labour market in Nairobi county.
Through this initiative we have already supported 440 youth with disabilities since the year 2014 with the professional expertise of our partners. EmployAble Kenya has an extensive employers’network with around 20 Kenyan small and medium scale employers who provided internship to and/or employed youth with disabilities.
Next to employers our private sector partners are Faulu Microfinance, Women Development Fund. In Kenya we collaborate with the Agency for Disability and Development in Africa (ADDA) as our local disability-mainstreaming partner, Cheshire Disability Services Kenya (CDSK) and United Disabled Persons of Kenya (UDPK) as the umbrella organization representing persons with disabilities in Africa.
